Once again, Honda is redefining the standard other touring motorcycles have followed foryears with the introduction of the Gold Wing SE. Its six-cylinder, 1520 cc, liquid-cooled,horizontally-opposed engine is smooth and powerful so the miles will slip by effortlessly.

To further enhance your comfort, an adjustable fresh-air ventilation system has been built intothe windscreen. The airflow can be directed at your chest or face level on hot days. In coolweather, it's comforting to know hot air can be directed at your feet with a twist of a knob onthe dash. Manually adjustable footrests adapt to each passenger's seating comfort with a 60mm range of vertical travel.

A full logic AM/FM cassette system with feather-touch controls is easily controlled from aconvenient switch on the left handlebar. Cornering lights and a high mounted stop/runninglight on the rear spoiler come as standard equipment too.

The GL1500SE also sports a polyester-coated Teflon seat cover that protects the seat from theelements and illuminated controls and switches for night touring.

The GL1500SE stretches the bounds of traditional touring motorcycle comfort andconvenience further than ever before. Ultimately, the Gold Wing SE is what other touringbikes aspire to be.

The GL1500's legacy of touring comfort and luxury continues in 1990. It's powered by aliquid-cooled, horizontally-opposed, 1520 cc, six-cylinder engine that puts out plenty ofsmooth, high-torque output and acceleration. Helical-cut gears help reduce drive train noisewhile rubber mounts on the engine minimize vibration.

A sleek, aerodynamic design is complemented with air-adjustable, twin-shock rear suspensionand sturdy, 41 mm front forks that produce an incredibly comfortable and stable ride. Unifiedtriple-disc brakes are designed to help ensure smooth and controlled stops.

Other standard features include an electrically powered reverse gear, a powerful 24 wattAM/FM stereo cassette system and ample storage space that can be secured with a convenientone-point integrated locking system. Electronic cruise control lets you adjust speed in 1-6 kmincrements.
